wanted to talk you a story about Bermuda shorts. The word ‘bermuda’ is
so unusual for me. I had never known the meaning of the word “Bermuda”.
I knew but the other one. It was interesting to know different meanings
of this word.
My father liked to wear different kinds of shorts in summer. And once he
said that he would buy Bermuda shorts of several bright colors. I remembered
the meaning of this word”Bermuda”. It has the meaning of “disappearing”.
It sounds like that for me, because I was too small and naive child. In
my mind was the film about the Bermuda triangles. It was horrible for me.
And now my father with these shorts came. I very upset when I knew about
those shorts.
So, I said to my father about the film and his intention about the shopping.
He began to laugh. He told me another meaning of this word “Bermuda”.
And I could not stop laughing too.
My father explained that “Bermuda shorts” had mined “pants”.
It seemed so funny to me. And after that we decided to go and buy these
very shorts, the so called “Bermuda”.
